Ri-Made Glass:
TO IMPROVE THE VISIBILITY OF THE ROAD SURFACE AT NIGHT AND THE AESTHETICS OF OUTDOOR FURNITURE
Ri-Made Glass is characterised by being a vibrocompressed concrete manufactured product with recycled glass aggregates of various grain sizes (between 0.5 and 2 mm). Specifically, a top layer is created from glass aggregates obtained from finely crushed flat glass scraps from windows, panes, glass walls, etc. This feature is interesting both from a technical point of view (improving night visibility of the road surface or kerb) and from an aesthetic point of view (design elements for pavements). Ri-made Glass is able to meet multiple operational demands and contribute to environmental sustainability.
THE ADVANTAGES OF RI-MADE GLASS
The material included in the base layer of the screed (between 5% and 15%) comes from cement and building material waste recovered from construction sites; its use, therefore, avoids an increase in landfill material and the use of new raw materials in the production phase.
Thanks to the layer of glass within its composition, one of the main tasks of Ri-Made Glass is to improve the visibility of road surfaces or kerbs at night, thus enhancing the safety of vehicle traffic.
The increased light reflection provided by the top layer of glass agglomerates allows self-locking pavements made with Ri-Made Glass to absorb less solar energy, thus reducing the temperature of the road surface while maintaining substantially the same mechanical performance.
The composition of Ri-Made Glass with glass agglomerates, supplemented by the possibility of mixing coloured pigments in order to obtain different colours and shades, also allows the product to be chosen aesthetically to place high-quality, visually striking floor coverings.

Glass agglomerates are just one of the recycled materials that are used in Micheletto's pavings, and are part of a general context of environmental awareness. While the recycled materials commonly used in concrete paving are raw materials reused from other products usually used in construction, the use of glassy material allows a significant improvement in the visibility and aesthetics of the paving, while maintaining the same technical performance characteristics.
